When designing a collection for DFP Sky Free Shop, I wanted to design something that would feel like a mix of Brazil and California. I am mostly inspired by nature and rich colours. I also get a lot of inspiration from my trips. I travel a lot and I love photography; so I am always taking pictures of things that inspire me - whereas its about the colors of something or the shapes and then I bring it together in the form of an illustration which I transform into a pattern.
Depending what I am in the mood for I’ll go to a different location to photograph. If I am looking for a subtle palette I might head to the beach, take pictures of sand, ocean, things that compose that environment. Then I try to extract elements that are part of this and make a pattern that for me tells the story of that place.
